Stuff you'll need from the 73+ donor car:
- Side-shift transmission - Complete shift linkage - Gear shift lever - Motor mount bar - Solid outboard motor mount brackets (between the bar and the chassis) - Rubber "hockey puck" inner motor mounts - Brackets for holding the mounts to the engine - Adapter bushing for the firewall hole You will probably also want to figure out a way to hold the plastic/rubber boot from the side-shift rear shift rod onto the firewall of your car. The flange on the firewall is a different shape. It's a good idea to replace all of the bushings and the two cone screws in the linkage while you've got everything apart--luckily, we sell a bushing kit specifically for early cars converted to side-shift! You'll probably want new CV joint gaskets, and while you're in there a clutch replacement is probably not a bad idea. (Yes, the words "while you're in there" often add up to money...) --DD
