So how much longer till your site is up again? I get the home page, but anything else and it overwrites itself.

Is the new chat client required to connect to the server? I tried the old client just now exactly as it was configured before and no joy.

I've tried to connect and it's a no go. Tried both DNS name and IP. Double checked. Still no go. It give me a "can't connect to hyperchat server" error.
I'm behind a DSL router, I suspect that has something to do with it. Anyone else have similar problem? Any quick fixes? DanD under Andrews account (too lazy to login)

Got it..
Being a techie geek who thinks he knows everthing and doesn't need to read instructions, I didn't see the line about putting the port 914 in... >The next blank in the connection manager asks for a port >number. I am using: 914 for the port. See ya around.. DanD

Kevin,
This chat is live.. which cuts done on the amount of chatter on all the different lists. It has some fun games type stuff built in and seams to be really popular during the winter time when everybody is sitting around at home in the evenings. The PP chat would be more popular, but it's one or two steps harder to use than the one I am hosting. Just wait until some of the diehards get in the room. IE: Sammy Gore, Mike Zois, Chris Cambell, Mike Mueller. I have had Porsche people from all over the world come into the chat room to "chat" with us. Its kinda crazy. The best part is getting to know these list people a little better through real time chat. B |

brad, i appreciate the pos feedback. although i think someone maybe posting under your name, you're being much too nice to be the real brad (dope that i am i can't insert a wink with items on the keyboard). when i refered to being easier i ment point and click to get to my destination. without a class in chat rooms for dummies, does every line represent a function to be performed? if thats the case i'll print a copy and give it a try. i'd like to go there just to see what's hapna.
on a dif note a recent post about miata's i made reference to a road that i have no what the name of is. could you read the reply and post it? it was a real corkscrew, i'm sure you have torn it up more than once. kevin |

Bruce Anderson asked me to tone it down.
He said to balance my arrogance with thought provoking dialog. I said F-you.. you old man.. you dont know JACK. He said "that's much better" I guess I'm a little different, I can back up 90% of my arrogance. I'm guessing only a hand full of the 911 guy's can back it up. B |

B,
I think there's still something up with your DNS changes. They still haven't propogated around, including to some of the upper tier guys like Sprint, UUnet, Verizon... It resolved OK when I did an nslookup against your zone's dns server (ns1.istep.com) but no others I tried (including my own) Just FYI...
