front trunk jammed
Apparently items packed in the front trunk shifted during shipping and now the trunk won't open. I'm guessing the front bumper has to come off, but then what? Any other thoughts? Thanks all.

If it is jammed only from objects shifting in transit and not from a broken cable then you should be able to open it without lifting a wrench. Have a friend push down on the nose of the trunk while you pull on the release. That should give the locking mechanism enough room to work.
If that does not work then yes remove the bumper. Right in front of the lock is a small hole. Wag your flat head left to right in the hole to release the lock. Much easier than the rear trunk. Douglas |
