I ahve every confidence that he will get the 3.6 in the 914, then go out and buy one them weenie wagons....err, Cayenne's.....
![]() THEN Crash that at the track because he dropped his double latte in turn five, and put THAT DUAL TURBO'd monster in a 911..... |

I have faith in him.
It will be fixed. He is a lot more focused now that he was 2 years ago. B |

I'm still trying to get my next project car.......when I'm in town the seller is gone and vice versa....
oh well, I wouldn't have the time to work on it right now anyways... Brad is correct, I am better focused nowadays...a little mentoring and "seeing the light" helps ![]()

You have good energy for this stuff.
I look at it this way: You may work on projects and get pissed (whatever), but you get more done working on these projects than all the people working on a single project put together. I live by theory of: I would rather make 5 mistakes trying to do something than sitting there "talking" about doing something. I'll learn more from failure than I ever will "talking" about something. Donīt give upp, Mike. Brad is right.
If you do a lot, you may do a lot of mistakes. If you donīt do anything, you donīt do any mistakes. But, then you donīt get any experiences too. This kind of threads are not very polite. I think PP staff should remove this.

It is all in good fun Timo.
I'm sure James didnt mean anything negative by his post. I looked at the post as a way to "lighten the mood" surrounding Mikes accident with the 911. B |

OK. I hoped that this thread was just for fun, but for outsiders like me it looked nasty.

Mike called me while they where still in the car on the side of the freeway after the accident... my first thoughts where not whether or not Mike would use his 3.6 engine in a 914. The shakiness in his voice that night was pretty F-'d up. When I started seeing all the posts from people asking him about the 3.6 going into his 914.. I was a little pissed myself. I had to step back and imagine how many times I piss people off saying things I shouldnt.
I had to blow it off. Otherwise.. I would have been the hypocrite. I can see where it "miffed" you Timo. B |

Sorry if anyone thought it was negative! I added smileys in hopes you would all know it was in good fun.
![]() Seeing Mike's posts on various boards I knew he could take it without being insulted. I've done the same thing as him many times, so I'm definitely the pot calling him black! Mike made some comments on the 911 forum about whether the 911 would be totaled - any good 914 owner would instantly think conversion, am I right?! ![]() I really should have added this in my first post: Glad you and your wife are OK Mike, and good luck gettng that car repaired and continuing with your next project. Edit: Mike if you're offended I'll remove it. ![]() Last edited by JWest; 12-13-2002 at 04:37 AM.. |

Don't worry--we're mean like this to Mueller in person all the time!
![]() Mike and Sherryl were on their way back from a pretty large gathering of 914 folks (plus some 911 guys) at the Tied House when it happened. It was a pretty sobering thought when I read their note that I was one of the last people to see them before their wreck... ![]() ...After all, without Mueller to pick on, people might start picking on me!!! ![]() --DD

James, no offense at all....I got a good chuckle from it.....
Since no one was hurt from the accident I can make light of it now, he//, no need to get all depressed, what is done is done. As to people making suggestions for the 3.6 motor? My father-in-law the very next morning said he'd gladly take it off my hands for his early 911 !!!! I told him no...it'll go into my 914 if the car is a write off...funny thing, my wife did not object ![]() I did get an email from a fellow 964 owner that next morning (Brad knows who or should) saying he'd take the suspension and rims if car is totalled.....he made me laugh with the subject line of "The Vultures have Started" Mueller
