CIS on a 914 engine

anyone here running CIS injection on their 914 engine (as opposed to 6)

I have a rebuilt, with hot cam, 1.7L 914 engine in my beetle and want to run CIS injection, I've found a couple sites with a littl info, but looking for some real first hand info, on instalation and results.

Thanks
a couple pictures of things so far

Jake Raby has been running CIS on his powerstroke type 4 (in his bus) for quite some time and it really runs nice. You might want to drop him a line or maybe he can chime in and let you know his take on it.

Take care,

Ed V ran Miller's setup on his 914 before he turbo'ed it. And also afterwards. And EJM runs CIS on his turbo'd 914 as well. They have both been known to post on this BBS from time to time.

CIS rocks for big torque, especially on a near stock engine, or all the way to 150BHP or so......Normall Aspirated. Cam selection can be finnicky and valve margins need some tweeks from the norm for carb use to CIS....

For guys looking for BIG HP, its not the way to go, but if you want great reliability, sweet fuel mileage, and torque from hell, you just gotta have CIS.

Jake,

I don't suppose you have a CIS kit (or just parts list) to replace the stock FI on 914's?
With your expertise and famiiliarity with the Type4, you'd be the ideal source. Any thoughts?

Lookin to improve on Djet!

The miller link is outdated, but I found this:

I like the looks of your setup evil.

OK Ed & Jake - I want to hear more!

I have a newly rebuilt 2.0 with Euro pistons and #73 Web cam, and I'd sorely like to upgrade the aging stock FI system. What can I expect as far as low-end & high-end peformance (losses, increases, same)?

TIA,
