fuchs questions
Hi guys a couple of questions regarding some fuchs on a friends car. She's in a bit of a financial bind and is considering selling them and putting on the cheaper cookie cutters. She's not very partial to them. So here's the questions:
What's the going price for a set of 7 and 8 x 15 fuchs in good condition? Anyone interested? I know the value of the 951 16" ones but not the 15's. I know we can find some cookie cutters for $150 to $250. So if she could sell her fuchs for a bit more she'd be doing okay. Obviously if it was minimal it wouldn't be worth the hassle. Anyways, T.I.A |

I bought a set of 15x7 and 15x8 Fuchs (off an 87 911) last fall for $560. They are not perfect, but very presentable. They came with Pirelli P6s that I use for auto-x on my Cookies.

Fuchs are the 5 spoke wheels.
Post pictures if you have them. They can go anywhere ftom $75 - $200 each depending on condition. AFJuvat

Personally I've never liked fuchs, but COUPE!!! those look awesome on your car! You've changed my perception. As far as why they are called fuchs, I believe that's because of who manufactured them. That's why there are also 914 "fuchs" but obviously they look much different.

Dont know about the 15 X 8, however within the last 6 months, 2 of my buds have sold sets of 15 x 6/7 for $200 each set. This figure included decent tires, caps and lugs...YMMV as there is probably a bit more value for the 8" wheels.

A while back I paid $600 for a set of 15x7s & 8s with tires that were in great shape.

15" Fuchs are being sold for reasonable money, 8" width will always cost more. The 16" fuchs from the 1986 951 are the way to go for an upgrade. 16x8's seem to be the priciest, I've seen them as high as $750 each, but I don't know if they sold them for that. IMO if the 911 Fuchs have a different offset and require spacers, the added weight of the spacer defeats the purpose of the strong lightweight Fuchs. Maybe someone knows if that's something to take into consideration when looking for Fuchs. Might be best to find 944 Fuchs only.

![]() As shown above the 911 fuchs do not require spacers (other than the ones that are on all early 944 already), 16x7 are 23 mm offset and 16x8 are 10 mm I believe the only reason the 16x8 from the 951 were 23mm offset were for brake caliper clearance due to the 4 piston brembos, the 951 16x7 are 23mm offset but can be distinguished from the 911 16x7 by the counter sunk lugs again for brake clearance. The 16x8 911 fuchs look better in my opinion because they are much more dished than the turbo 16x8 since more of the width is outside of the mounting flange The reason 16x8 turbo fuchs are so expensive is that they will fit the front end of a 911 which makes a nice combo with 16x9 rears, and not that many are around. did your wheels come like that or did you remove any paint? mine have a cruddy looking black paint on the 'spokes'. i think theyd look a lot nicer that way, if that is possible.
