(Urgent) Speed/reference sensors
Hi!
I think that I finally found the no-spark problem source on my 951. I checked the resistance of my speed/reference sensors: my speed sensor indicates ~900 ohms while my reference sensor doesn't indicate anything at all, the circuit is opened! If it is opened, I guess it's a broken internal wire or connection? Is there a way I can repair it myself? If so, where would it go bad first to result in the opened circuit problem? Thanks alot, I really miss the boost of the 951! |

Not repairable. Has to be replaced. Check Pelican for a price.

I see them on eBay often for $20 - $30...new they're about $120
seems to be a common 'no spark' fix lately...here's more info: http://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/ign-02.htm PITA to remove...lots of WD40 yadda..yadda often the bracket breaks when you try to get it out..then you have to do the .8mm washer trick etc good luck
