idle problem

After a little off couse excursion at the Bogus Basin Hillclimb, I have a weird idle. It idles at 2300 unless I pull the gas pedal back then it idles normal. if I rev it up it stays at 2300 again.

Is there some type of idle valve I should check.

Check the throttle cable and the throttle return springs.

Garage
Clean all the dirt out from around and under the gas pedel.

Also the lever arm that comes down and the guide on the back of the pedel has a tendency to develope flat spots.

Pull back the rubber weather boot on the throttle cable in the engine compartment and spray a teflon based lube down it. Use shop air to help it along.
