Post two questions...

1. What is the large canister in the driverside front wheel well close to the door on an 87 944 NA.

2. How is the front fender attached to the front cover. Right in front of the headlights there looks to be a rod going between the two. I dont know if there are bolts in there or what, but I dont just want to pull on the fender and i dont know if it is sticking because of the sealant or possibly more bolts. Parts diagram anyone?

thanks
-pete

1. That canister is part of your car's emissions control system, evaporative something (?) system.

2. No help here.

Fender has the obvious bolts across the top, and three bolts that hold it to the plastic air dam, 3 or 4 (?) bolts that hold the rear, and one bolt that attaches the fender to the nose/header piece near the headlight.

I believe you are referring to this last one - it is not a rod, just a bolt that you access from the nose/header piece side. Open the headlights to access the bolt - may be tough to get at. Let us know how it goes.
