Post Initial stumbling after starting

My '84 runs very well, but upon first starting the idle ranges from 1100 to 400 and back again. Within 30 to 60 seconds the effect is gone. Any ideas?

Also..Anybody ever go into rennlist? It appears to be gone.....

85.5na I have the same problem. Turn the ignition to "on" and count to 10 before starting. This lets the fuel pump pressurize the fuel rail. Changed the fuel pressure regulator and fuel check valve on the fuel rail, no change.

Perhaps a bad fuel pump?
