Question CV's clunk not humm right?

I changed out my wheels last week and noticed my "tire humm" on the pass. rear was still there. I expected it to be gone since my old rubber was almost gone.

Soooooo, this is likely the wheel bearings correct?

I plan on inspecting the CVs while back there but that would be a clunk and not a humm correct?

a humm noise is more associated with tires and or wheel bearings. one easy check on a bearing issue is the pitch the veh, slightly when driving an listen for the load to change as you shift the load from one wheel to the other. CV noise is trpically a clunk on accell, a thump noise or vibration when increasing and decreasing the load on driveline.

You can also check them whith the weight of the veh off the wheel. grab the wheel at the 3 and 9 position and feel for movement as you rock it from side to side. Now have someone hold the brake and feel the play again. This holds the position of the bearing in place so movement felt at this point is in other suspention components, the looseness prior to holding the brake is in the bearing area.

if you find that the wheel is loose when you try and shake it, replace bearings on both sides when you do it. I wish I had...my passenger side is now going out 2 months after I fixed my driver's side.

The veh. stops humming when banking right turns....

Bearing.

I think I am going to wait on the second one. Call me crazy but it seems to be more fun going in the second time. My mind has had time to work out all the little problems by then.
