Almost done, few questions

Hey guys! I got the old sensors out and im waiting to install a new bracket on monday. I noticed a few things that i need help with.

First- The Engine sounds somewhat different, not in a bad way, but it just sounds like its making a different pitched cranking noise (could be a vaccum line installed wrong)

Second- I heard somewhere that you can actually see if the engine will start if you run a pulse light, or a metal object back and forth in front of the sensors. Is this true? I tried with a wrench and nothing happened.

Third- I have a *****in fuel leak! Fuel came flying out of the injector for cylinder number 1. It is the little rubber washer thing that plugs into the fuel rail. Is there an easy fix for this?

Ok well that is all. Cya guys later thanks for all the help!

First.... - could be a number of things ... get it running then we'll worry about it

Second - You should test the sensors to see if they are in spec (better ways to do this). The sensors MUST also be at the right height 0.8mm ... Only then can you reproduce the proper wave on an oscilloscope.... which is the right way to test if there is a proper signal. I am assuming you bought a new sensor to replace the one that was toasted..... if so check the ohms on the new sensor....

Third - You should be able to pick up new o-rings at any auto store.... Worst case scenario you have a crack on the injector.. or rail.

Do not do any cranking until the fuel injector (leak) is fixed. Can quickly burn the car and anything nearby to the ground SAFETY FIRST

Thanks Ae, i think youve been the most help with this so far. I tested both new sensors and they read around .999 ohms, just like you said. So the first one was definitly shot, just like you said.

I ordered an injector seal kit and the new sensor bracket comes tomorrow. I hope this thing starts soon.
