How to remove Alpine CD Payer
I have to remove an Alpine CD Player in the 944, I took the Face/bezel off , but I cant seem to get it out.
Has anyone messed with an Alpine before? Is a special tool required? Thanks Dave

depends on how new it is. on the older ones i think there are DIN plugs, which are four small holes near the corners. you have to stick a bent coat hanger in to release the locking mechanism, then you can pull it out. on the newer ones there is a little plastic catch on the left and right sides, a small circular thing. you have to move it up and slide the unit out to get it past the catch, then repeat for the other side. if neither of these seems right, get the model number and look up the user manual on alpine's website (www.alpine.com). they'll definitely have the right info there.

you need the "keys" to pull it out. stop by a circuit city or best buy and they could hook you up with what you need to pull it out... or you could go the ghetto way and use a hanger...
