FIXED! 11 dollar flasher relay at Northern Foreign Auto Parts and it's done.
I read here that the generic "53" relay works for the turn signals, apparently it doesn't... On to the horn. |

Didn't have to mess with the wires under the dash? just the relay did it? if so than you can just cap those wires and tuck them in....

Hey while you're here, what kind of oil did you put in it? I'm going to change the oil and I'd like to keep it uniform.

10W40....I wouldn't rush to change it thou...pretty sure it's got less than a 1000 miles since I've done it...

hmm...I'd add some first than check. I might have not added enough. These things take like 6 quarts.

Alright. Was at pep boys earlier, was going to pick up a quart but I wasn't sure if it had synthetic in it , wanted to double check.

keep in mind that you own a fairly old car (comparatively). Hard running, WOT bursts, extended high speed runs...all of that puts an excess strain on the already worn parts of the car, which will cause oil to burn a little more noticeably at times.

Yes, I know.
Did some work on the horn..cleaned the contacts and now it sends power, but the horn still doesn't work. Relay clicks, so I checked if the horn was getting power, and it is, so it looks like I'm going to the junkyard tommorow, I'll yank a horn off a jetta or something. |

Horns are horns...try to find an old chevy...or any pre-90's GM vehicle. They have exceptional horns.

getl hella horns (I think that's the right spelling) need ear plugs when using those. I've put one on my bike...works great
