Question Restoring 924 trim

How do I go about restoring the black trim around the glass etc on my 924 (it is starting to come off and show silver/chrome underneath) Is it special paint?
I also need to replace the black plastic bump strip around the car, Porsche have quoted me a ridiculous price, does any one know of an alternative please?

Many thanks
Misty

Easiest way to restore the black is by using a satin (semi-gloss) black spray paint. Scuff up the chrome with steel wool and mask off the areas you don't want painted.

Unfortunately, I am not aware of an aftermarket bump strip. You can either remove what you have and use a generic bump strip, or you could remove it entirely.
