Need Input on PCA!
Need Your Input on PCA national and local chapters. I was wondering what your impression was on PCA in general and your local chapter in particular?
Do any of you get involved in the events? What do you think of PANORAMA? How about your chapter’s monthly mag? What would you like to see PCA national and regional chapters change?

I never joined PCA. I always had the feeling that it is a 911 leaning club. Excellence is very 911ish.
I've only had 914s and 944s. The Porsche world revolves around the 911 platform. your sig indicates you are a 911er. Might be worth it to join.

In the Northwest region, old beater 924s are just as welcome as a new GT-3. Great bunch of people. Great local monthly mag, but I wouldn't subscribe to Panorama if it wasn't part of the dues. I still read it, though.
Different regions have different personalities, it seems. Some are geared only for the Concours crowd. I prefer events that require a helmet. Lots of those up here. |

I'm an active member of the NNJR region - excellent region. See my comments to your cross-post in the OT section.
BTW: the NNJR region isn't a 911-elite club. The following folks on our board of governors currently own 924/944/968's: Club president. (944S & 944S2) Our program chair (924S, 944, 951) Our concours chair (924S, 951) Our track tech co-chair (ME! 944S2) Yearbook coordinator (968) Charity co-chair (951) New Member Liaison (924S, 951, & many pieces of 944's!) And many others involved in the club own or have owned a car from the 924/944/968 series. -Z-man. Link to the NNJR Website.

I am current president and webmaster of our local PCA region.
I'm also on national tech committee for 944s and webmaster for PCA zone 1, as well as registrar for Zone 1 Tech Tactics and Watkins Glen Driver Ed. I guess you could say that you get out of PCA what you put in... I'm having a great time in the only club I ever joined... gb

My region (Florida Crown) is awesome. Great DE's, awesome Club Race at Roebling, fun socials, and good friends. I like Pano...lots of info. Our chapter newsletter won at parade several times....I love this region.....

San Diego was a blast, and there was a good sized 944 NA crowd, especially at AX and DEs.
