Clunking and needing help with nut.

First of hello, been reading the board a few times and finding it helpful, so thankyou.

My 1985 924 makes a clunking sound when i go over 'things' (dead bodies etc), more specificly from the front drivers side. The steering is very instant with no play in the steering wheel.

Is this a worn bush? If so, how easy is it to fix as i am quite new to this?

Also, any tips for getting a nut off which has been abused? (I called it a miserable hector which it took offence to, but in addition to this the nut is no longer a nut, more of a round thing).

Tighten the top of the struts. Check to see that your sway bar bushings are good.

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?

PB Blaster, and vice grips can be useful. If all else fails (and it does from time to time), I resort to a Dremel Tool and an abrasive cutting wheel.

If you are in Europe, use Wurth Rost-Off - very similar.
