No power to starter (new ignition switch& DME relay

Just replaced the ignition switch and fuel pump/dme relay now im not getting power to the starter. Fuel pump comes on and everything when i turn the key all it does is "clicks" through this white small relay. I also did take out a button push starter rig that the guy before me had all it was a wire to the battery and a wire to the starter dont think that would of done it.

Fuel pump should not come on unless the key is in the cranking possition. Then it should stop about a second after you return the key to the ON possition.

One wire will go from the small lug on the starter solenoid to the ignition switch. This wire should be split just behind the ignition switch with one lead going to the DME. It's this wire that tells the DME to run the fuel pump while the engine is being cranked.

Sounds like the PO did more than just put in the push button. What is the location of the relay? Use the charts at www.clarks-garage.com or the 944 tech section here on Pelican to determine what the relay is supposed to control.

It's wired wrong. Looks like the wire diagram on Pelican has only half of the ignition switch. I'll get the rest and post it.
