A/C Delete Kit Help

I just purchased an A/C delete kit because the compressor was completely broke and A/C is overrated anyways. I am just not really sure what to do with this bracket now. Has anyone installed this kit onto their car? I have the bracket, the shroud and a new belt. From what I've read, I'm supposed to remove the alternator and I'm guessing lower it to where the compressor was but I'm not really sure. Any advice is welcome. Thanks guys.

Remove the alternator.
Remove the compressor.
Take the old bracket off - 4 bolts.
Install the new bracket.
Install alternator on the bracket - goes where the compressor used to sit.

Yeah, and FWIW, everyone that tells you that your Alternator will self-destruct without the black shroud (which will no longer fit when you re-locate the alternator lower) are exaggerating. I have not had one for a long time since I deleted the A/C and have had no issues.

Knocks on wood.

Heck Tifo, the 924S did not even come with a shroud from the factory, period. Neither did the early 944s. I have to agree that is really isn't to necessary on a non-turbo 944.

But to your point about the shroud not fitting, there is actually a specific shroud for the AC delete cars. I have one of each type.

Yeah, I got the part# after my swap but then said the heck with it and decided not to worry about it.

I probably shouldn't say it but my early 944 is still on the original (non-shrouded) alternator at 212K miles....
