adding nitrous to the na 924
I have come across a dry nitrous system and WILL be putting it into my 79 na. Has anyone put one into the CIS running car? I need to figure out how to increase the fuel to compensate for the increased nitrous. I will be running a mild shot of nitrous.

cute, thanks, needed the humor. I hate it when people think it can't be done. It can be done, I just need to try and figure out how.

don't mention it
it's never an issue of impossibility. anything can be done if enough money, time, and energy are thrown at the problem. the real question is simply whether it is worth the effort

Does ANYONE make a wet system for these cars? All I ever see is dry ones, which I don't trust.

well if you do a little reseach on how much fuel youd need it be a piece of cake to make a dry kit a wet one.
edit: and i never understood why everyone is so afraid of nitrous. and then theres the other crowd that act like it is cheating.

Well, if you insist....
The simplest solution is to rig up the cold start valve to trigger when you hit the nitrous. The trick would be to get the cold start valve to open just as you hit the button, and close within 1 second, or you would run too rich. AFJ

There was a S2 cab which had nitrous at 944fest. He had the car dynoed with out it and with it. I can't recall the exact numbers he was putting out but I remember being impressed with the HP increase he achieved.

O love nitrous, I ran it in my 2000 Toyota Tacoma and will be installing a direct port system in my 924S when its done. People are afraid of it cus they hear all the crazy stories of stupid people with nitrous. Please if your gonna run nitrous go read some books on it first.
Anyway why not just ditch the dry system and go get a wet one? Or AFJuvat had a very good idea that shouldnt be to hard to rig.

you dont even have to ditch the dry one. just get a fuel solenoid, another nozzle, some jets and do the plumbing. the hardest part would be doing the calculations on how much fuel you need

Couldnt you just look up, what a wet kit would use for jetting and run what they have,
I believe a # 17 fuel and # 32 n20 jet gives you approx 55hp on a 4 banger kit

i know in the Summit catalog i saw an add for a kit that makes a dry kit wet aswell. i cant remember who makes it though.
if NOS makes the dry kit you have contact their tech support. i have spoken with them and they are VERY helpful. i have a REALLY old NOS kit on my IROC-Z that my dad put on it. well when i had the motor apart this year the jets got mixed up and i had to conact them to find out which jet was for fuel and which was for the nitrous. even though the kit was made nefore Holley bought them they were able to send me a copy of the original instructions.
