I bought mine on the 31st. No discount was mentioned. Oh well, it's still worth it. Maybe I'll call and see if I can apply it to a high pressure pump.

I am forwarding a couple pics of the new fuel rail on the car. This is a really good kit and well worth the money. Anyone have an opinion on hood badge / no badge?

Normally I would say hood badge, but it looks good without one. DUMP those clewett plug wires. The wire that goes from the coil to the dist cap just disintegrated on me one night, a few of the other wires look like they are headed that way too. i would have already switched over had Paragon not screwed up my order and gave me the wrong wires.

I think you might be right on the wires. I cleaned the engine yesterday of all the body shop dust that is inevitable and it would not start. I was cranking it and the wires were literally arcing through the skin to the intake manifold. After sitting all night it runs fine but I really don't want to be out somewhere and have a failure. I plan on USING this car not looking at it in the garage.
What's the hot set up?

De-badged is better. Everyone will think it's just an old RX-7 and leave it alone!!

Steve,
You could always find one of those correct-size hood badge decals that the Porsche racers use. If you get sick of it, you could just peel it off.

Old RX7, Ouch that hurts. You know what, it does kind of look like one. The Japanese car industry definately can copy designs. The German cars just seem to be cutting edge, also when was the last time you saw an "old" RX7, I see "old" 944s all the time.

Porsche sued Mazda over the design of the RX7, citing that it was too "visually similar" to the 944.

So Porsche sued Mazda on the design, did they have a favorable outcome of that suit? I can't find anything on it.

They do look slightly similar but I have never mistook one for the other.

Also, I say badge it. It's a Porsche, it should be pranced around like the horse on the sheild.

The sticker idea is kinda neat, there are some very very professional porsche vinyl sheilds, and Porsche even uses them themselves on the GT3RS (at least they did on the 996 version, and probably on the new one too)

I have seen some that put a badge (real or sticker) on the front panel, and also on the back of the front driver's side fender. This was done on a lot of old Ferraris also. I like it.

Well if Mazda copied the 944 then maybe Porsche copied the 240Z? Or was it Ferrari's Daytona? Or better yet.. the Opel! Seriously I always wondered if Porsche seen something there with the success of the Z. If I remember right the 240Z was spanking 911s. Maybe Porsche seen potential in the design? I don't know, but it seemed sorta obvious to me.

I have agreed to not post any negative things about the SC until it arrives (supposedly next week). If not I have 2 criminal complaints that will be processed by the end of next week. It has now been 6 months since the money was fronted in full. That seems like long enough to me. It also seems long enough to the FBI internet crime guys as well as local authorities. If it shows I kill the complaints, if not they get served, pretty straight forward.

I can't see using a sticker. I may just take the pins off a new crest and use some non-paint reacting adhesive. At least if some a-hole trys to steal it the thing will come right off. I had somebody totally f-up my 71 911 taking the 911e badge off the back of the car. It really pissed me off. I was in one of the nicer areas of St Louis where there is essentially 0 crime. Probably just a pinhead with an opportunity but it cost me $500 to fix the damage.

There you go. That sounds like a great idea.

I just ordered some Magnacors myself. The arcing thing when wet kind of freaked me out.
