New engine in, now theres a starting problem!
So I finally got the car on the ground AND started but it ran for a while then eventually stalled. So I figured I was out of gas so I picked up some 93 octane and put like 3 gallons in figured that would be enough. Start the car and it starts and about 20 seconds later it stalls. Try and start it again and nothing. Wait a while and start it and it starts for like 5 seconds. Wait a while and now it doesnt start.....
I have spark. I changed the DME relay. Any ideas? If DME or ref/hall sensors were bad I wouldnt have spark correct? So Im guessing I have a clogged fuel screen or filter. What do you think?

That would be one of the first things to check. Check the pressure on the fuel rail and see what you have. I'm guessing it's not going to be much if any.

could be a vac leak..
when i had a rather large leak in my car, it would start up... run for a few seconds and then die... after a couple attempts, it would refuse to start without my foot on the gas... put your foot on the gas after starting and see if you can keep it alive.

No pressure at fuel rail. I cleaned out the whole fuel system today and it started perfect. Turned the car off started it again ..nothing. Im guessing clogged fuel filter.
After like 3 cranks it acts like it wants to start but right when it turns once ...it stalls..then 3 more cranks and it almost starts again....ugh where can i get a cheap fuel filter?

I would check the fuel rail pressure as suggested. If good; you can eliminate pump, filters, Dme, relay....
using a Gauge would be best but if engine is cool, you could put on goggles, grab a few extra rages and after the engine stalls out. (do this quickly) Disconnect Batt, keep extinguisher ready, and crack the fuel rail supply line nut (I think 17-19mm). if you get some squirts, then it's not the fuel supply. ... Could also verify that it's the fuel by disconnecting air boot the Throttle body and giving it a few quick squirts of Carb Cleaner spray In to the TB. Engine should jump back up in RPM's for a few more seconds. (don't spray continuous or you can blow a head gasket!)

I cracked open the fuel rail and there was nothing in there...

maybe try:
http://www.clarks-garage.com/ search under "FUEL-01" Follow procedures: You could also Jump the Fuel Relay to make sure it's not DME/sensor related. Check for 12 Volt at Fuel pump when engine in on postion. Then if OK would change fuel Filter and if still no go. Thinking fuel pump. When the go ka put they first start by cutting out after they get hot.. then work when they're cool. Then they just don't pump enough... Then No worky. I've also hear of relay sockets going bad so make sure you check for the 12V at the pump when Ign is On and Relay is jumped before forking out for a new pump. Hope that helps.
