Automatic speed control

My 951 allegedly has Automatic speed contol, i'm assuming this is cruise and not something else, if thats the case how do you use it?

I'm not stupid but i dont seem have any switch gear for it, although i do have a suspicious square hole on the steering wheel column beneath the wipers.

Guess i'll have to read the manual...

look at the throttle body (the pulley where your gas pedal line connects to)... if there are two cables coming off of the top of it, then you have cruise...

Bummer! That hole under the windshield washer arm USED to house your speed control arm. Can you tell if it was snapped off versus removed for some dumb a$$ reason?!

I've been averaging a couple of hours a night fixing and troubleshooting my emissions problems recently so i havent really looked.

From the diagrams I've seen of the part, its a combo wiper/lights/cruise piece, so i'm not sure if you can remove the individual levers without snapping them off.

Nige,

I did a little digging on the PET. My car has two stalks on the right. One for the washer and one for the speed control. Unfortunately, PET lists one part for the whole mechanism including ALL the stalks. Check out Group 9: 903-02

good luck with the emissions!

Thought i'd fixed the emissions yesterday, but it still wasn;t right as I couldn't get it to idle anywhere close to 840 unless the screw was all the way in.

So i screwed it all the way out and could hear hissing from near the turbo boot, so i decided to take it out and have a look, and discovered that.

One of the hidden vacuum connectors was zip tied in, rather than the circular pipe connectors.

There was a large rip at the MAF end.

Oh and the blow off valve came away in my hand, with part of boot attached.

So time for a new one... Let hope this IS IT!!! :-)
