Testing 1...2...3...

Has anyone attempted to mate the 2.5-inch, GHL test pipe that our host sells to a stock exhaust manifold at one end and a stock cat-back system at the other? Are adaptors required or does it bolt right up?

Or is there another test pipe out there somewhere that will bolt right up to stock components?

i have a test pipe that bolts up to stock pipes, it's by bursch. i also have a couple test pipes fabbed with no resonators in them, they are very light, and i used the stock ends on them, so they bolt up. the fit is a little off on the fabbed pipes (very hard to weld them perfectly straight), but the seals went on fine and after 10k miles i haven't had any issues with it. it does have a very raspy sound that's still growing on me, and i'll never complain about weight savings.

It looks like Bursch only offers the pipe you have for the 951, not normally aspirated like mine. GHL does have the pipe that fits NA's but I insist it mount to stock ends for now while I play with other upgrades then come back to exhaust. Did you put the Bursch on your turbo or NA?

its an old(as in sold awhile ago) pipe for an n/a, i haven't installed it because my fabbed pipe was lighter. i do believe that it's a bursch pipe, thats what i was told when i bought it. i have a test pipe for both the 951 and the 944, but only have one installed on the 944 right now, unfortunately i haven't got to the 951 yet...

what's the GHL pipe look like? this one definitely will mount to stock manifolds and catback.

I checked a number of sites that offer a test pipe for our beauties but none pictured one. Interested in selling one of your contraptions Mike?
