Hi Everyone, i have 2 questions

My black trim on the bottom of my 924s, along with the black trim of the mirrors and rubber bumpers are faded, whats a good product to make the real black again, possibly permanent?

Also, my black carpet by the shift boot is faded, is there some sort of spray i can use to make it black again, or does anyone know a way to make it black??

As far as the carpet, I just did this a couple of weekends ago to my '44. I pulled out all of the carpet that is black and was faded so bad it looked greyish. I vacuumed the carpet really good and scrubbed it with carpet cleaner to make sure it was clean. I bought some dye called "ritz dye" (its a fabric dye) and mixed it with hot tap water in a spray bottle. You have to mix it double the amount for dark colors which is recommended on the box. I sprayed the carpet heavily and let it sit for an hour and then rinsed it out and let it dry. Actually looks really nice and it really didnt take that long to do.

Some people don't like this product but I have had great success with Mother's Back-to-Black for all of my rubber trim. I use it on the bumper pads, the rear spoiler, and the black trim around the mirrors, also the black rubber trim around the windshield. This product removes oxidation which is one reason these parts start looking faded.

For the black shiny trim on the door pillars and the windshield wipers and door handles, I use auto wax (possibly after a cleaner) and that goes right back to shiny black.

You can get it at any auto parts store.
