How to disable factory alarm?

Trying to avoid having to trace wiring diagrams here:

I'm preparing a "spare" '85.5 n/a 944 for sale and chased down an annoying battery-drain problem to the factory alarm. Used to be whenever the car sat for more than a week, the battery would completely drain out. I removed the factory alarm box behind the DME, which remedied the problem, but when I went to start the car, it wouldn't start without the alarm box re-installed (which I'm sure will bring back the battery drain problem).

Anyone know how I can eliminate the factory alarm box (ridding myself of the battery drain problem) and not have it kill the DME and prevent the car from starting? Is there something I should be jumpering someplace or whatever?

Note that the factory alarm switch is in the "off" position - I never got a key for it.

Ahh, perfect. I hope the procedure works with the module completely removed, but I'll try it for starters. Thanks.

It does. I removed my alarm and simply cut and connected the wires that Clark's says to jumper.
