I believe it's the idle stabilizer & it does stabilize your idle & if the hose is crack on it better change it before it start giving you problems. What year is the car?

That is the Evaporative Emissions Flow Regulating Control Valve. it is connected to the plastic EVAP on-off valve. If the hose is breached, you will get a gas vapor leak/odor. The Idle Control Valve is located under the Intake Manifild.

Not sure about the price difference. I do not have an interchange for the part.
Pelican:
OEM-94411042900 Genuine Porsche Part: VACUUM CONTROL VALVE
- This is a special-order, non-returnable, Porsche part
(availability and shipping charges may vary). [More Info]
$680.75

Used would be the best way to go IF needed.

Ernie,
I think you are referring to the ICV/ISV----My mistake
I was referring to the Vacuum Control valve that onZedge mentioned.

I read your first post incorrectly.
