Tachometer without CASIS?

Can anybody tell me which vehicle in the 924/944 series has the tachometer/mpg indicator with the yellow digits but does NOT have the "CASIS" shift indicator light?
I am guessing it was either an early 924 or the 1983 model 944, or an automatic, but can anyone confirm?

any non american 944type1 or 924 will do

and i didn't even think the typ1 had the CASIS, thought that was type2 only, but could be wrong

I know my 1984 had it, but I see that the part numbers for the 1983 Tach and the 1984-1985.5 are different but I don't know why.
I have a non-CASIS tachometer and I'm trying to figure out where it came from.

Hi, my 83 944 does not have a shift indicator light but it has the mph gauge.

I would guess that the auto transmission cars don't have the shift indicator either (sort of useless) - anyone with an auto care to chime in?

My 83 944 is a manual trans and doesn't have a shift light.

My 83 is the same. Tach has mpg gauge and no shift light.

haha! It is mostly useless, but sometimes it is kind if interesting to see when the engine is "ahead" of the load or not without having to think too hard. It usually wants you to shift too soon, especially in low 4th to 5th, even for "economy" shifting.
