Help my memory.....fr rotors?

Early rotors....do the bearing races need pressed in? Cannot remember....iirc they will compress when the axle nut is tightened. Thanks

Not exactly; the bearings press into the hubs, not the rotors, the rotors are bolted to the hub. What do you need to do, replace the wheel bearings or the rotors?

Either way - no, you cannot draw the bearing races into place by tightening the spindle nut.

There was my error. I was visualizing incorrectly. I kept visualizing the rotor and hub as one. thanks Vaughan!
