I could use some help with some turbo specs
I am purchasing a pair of K26s for my V8 Rabbit project.
They appear to be in pretty good shape and they both have the same part number. However if you look at the turbine side of the turbos they appear to be two different sizes. I am going to assume that someone swapped out the hot side and if so what do I need to do to swap one so they are both the same size? I don't have any specs yet on the turbos but can anyone tell from the pics what parts I might need to make them the same? ![]() ![]() |

On the bottom most picture, you have a K26 with #6 hotside on the left and a K26 with #8 hotside on the right. You can tell the difference by the flat casting mark on the hotside of the #6 housing.
You can either find the #6 hotside and wheel to replace or i would simply find a K26/6.. they are not too hard to come by.

Yeah that's what I figured.
Maybe I can trade the K26-8 for a 26-6 that would probably be the easiest and cheapest thign to do. |

We will chat when I actually have the turbos in hand.
These turbos only have around 100k miles on them and I would like to find something similar. It would be awesome to find another #8 hotside but the #6 would work and will probably be easier and cheaper to obtain. |
