Love the rear spoiler and the flares. Great looking car! Here's a few of mine. Haven't had time to return the front wheels to the original color yet (they take almost a full day each to strip and paint/sand/paint/sand....), so i've just been driving it! I have a lower lip to install too. Just need more time... http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a60...2/P1020975.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a60...2/P1040511.jpg |
^ Chris, are those the 18x8.5 front and 18x11 rear 996 turbo wheels? What tire sizes are you running on the front and back? It will look great once the fronts match the rears!

Will like to share some updated pics of my 968 with you guys ,hope you don't mind since this tread gather mostly to 944 . 93-968- Amazone Pearl Green reading 80,876 klms a little bite over 50,000k miles. The car has subtle mods motor & specially suspension wise witch is very well sort out, refer to my avatar, the rest I'm trying to keep the int -ext OE as possible ,just install an SC witch to me is one of the best upgrade on any 968,this steering feeling is fantastic compare the oe air bag one. ;) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1282437413.jpg

Finally some pics after the exterior restoration of my '84.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1282492185.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1282492221.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1282492256.jpg |
I have been busy w/ other projects and haven't done much w/ the 84 in the last year or so. I put a whopping 400 miles on it in the last 18 months. I did clean up a few things. I removed the Fiberwerks front end and had it reapinted then did a 3M clear bra on it. That big flat front is horrible for rock chips. The car still runs great. Nothing too exotic: 3 liter crank, Lindsey rail and regulator, all new belts, hoses, injectors, etc, MSDS headers, mini CAT that has been cleared out, stock muffler, I went back to a stock air box and K&N filter vs the cone and it seems to runs better when it's hot. I am running both a Schnell rear short shift and a SFR front one so the throw is maybe 3 inches. You literally never move your arm on the console. I got the R-134 conversion done and the A/C is actually respectable. Too many other previous thing to list. I also just stuck new hides on and the handling w/ the 17" wheeels, turbo sway bars, Koni Yellows, adjustable springs, etc is as would be expected.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1282494372.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1282494410.jpg at home w/ it's siblings http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1282494502.jpg teaching them young http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1282494590.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1282494604.jpg some of the goodies that went in http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1282494651.jpg These turned out pretty good for a do it myself project. I know there is a big debate on white vs whatever color gauge but I like these. I resprayed the inside w/ chrome paint in a can and got new bulbs, works great for me Steve |
Found a couple other pics

Pretty much stock
Here's my mostly stock 944, which has been in the family since new.
I washed it more than I drove it back in the 80's, now I drive it more than I wash it! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1282967288.jpg The great thing about owning it now, is that I can do some of the things to it that I wanted to do years ago. But now, it is a completely different car compared to the modern competition, so I enjoy it more for what it is, than what I imagined it could be. You can see a bit of smoke in the background from one of the latest lightning strike fire in the Bitterroot's - got caught in the lighting and rain last night on a mountain bike ride, and knew there'd be a fire or two (9 to be exact), the next day. |
A a tribute to the "agony and the extacy" engine rebuild with a few never before released director's cut pics.

It's been a very long and difficult project by this point. I've had multiple very stressful possible end of life evaluations for her on the matter and ultimately decided I must go through with it, so this pic holds alot of emotional value. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1282971659.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1282971683.jpg Finally as it should be! |
Great job and nice photo-documentation. Always nice to see one of 'ours' brought back from the brink!

Thanks BP11 and yes, it's original. The photos don't do the car justice because when you resize the photos, to insert them into the thread, they appear grainy and clarity is lost. I was hoping that the shot that contains the reflection of the palm tree would help demonstrate just how amazing the paint is. That said, I'm not afraid to drive her. I try to avoid gravel and dump trucks the best I can. Most times I keep my fingers crossed.

Very nice Richard. I like what you've done with your wheels. Are they D90's or Clubsports?
I have a few pics of your 930 from a PCNZ drive a few years ago. Beautiful car! |

That script "SS" on panzer909's car is the same script the Nazi SS used...maybe a little politically incorrect. lol
But then, many years ago, I used the same SS script on a 1967 Chevy Camaro SS 396....called it "SS RAT" |

All apart of the New World Order. You should see the Denver Airport. Its shaped like a swastika and has some hitler / end of the word sybolism artwork in it along with a masonic capstone with New World Airport Commission. Rumored to have undergown bunker or city. Check it out. |

I must say... Boxster/911 "twist" wheels just look like they were made for the 944. Especially on a tastefully lowered car.
