Finally paused long enough for pics
I finally had a little free time and paused from driving long enough to snap afew pics
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1259832751.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1259832826.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1259832855.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1259832893.jpg Here is the 85yo mother of a friend after a run in the car, she'd never been in a Porsche before. Best line during the drive, " It's too bad that car's in front of us or you could go faster," as we ran a twisty hill.:D Funnier when you know she's usually saying "aren't you going a bit fast" when doing the speed limit. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1259833334.jpg Pic won her extra points at her senior apt complex, land of one upmanship. |
Now thats a cool old lady. You know she was a wild one when she was younger:eek:

If you put a 944 in that pic though... It must be sideways with lots of tire smoke... :D

Looks like some good opposite lock to me.... I just need to get an LSD in my for my drifting to work well....

The tires are not facing away from the turn,...

nah, its all in your mind! I drifted this car with an open diff for a couple years before simply welding it for a full lock. My open diff 951 also drifts fine. Mostly depends on what tires you are using. I suppose while on topic I can post a few pictures. These are from my last couple events in 2008. Unfortunately the car has been sitting in the garage undergoing a major project for the majority of 2009. :( http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...b68dcd10_o.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...a1f07150_o.jpg shifter smoke! http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...11380e15_o.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...c198b524_o.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...d78dc02c_b.jpg Rain event. :/ http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...img9898wc2.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...img9900kz5.jpg |

Basically you want something low profile that will hold traction really well in the front, and loose traction easily in the rear. |
See my problem I always try to get a little drift going at autocross.... It ain't happening on the street tires I'm running... Sure ain't gunna happen on the slicks I just picked up....

924 Carrera GT replica built on a 924 Turbo S2, sporting an OEM Carrera GT intercooler and 14lbs of boost. Still a work in progress but should be finished both mechanically and cosmetically by summer 2010.

Well I thought I'd throw mine into the fold.
I've only had it two weeks and in the beginning of getting it up to my standards in the way the car should look. The previous owner wasn't the detail freak that I am so I've fixed a few things, done alot of cleaning to the exterior, and just now getting to the interior. It'll be a long process but here she is as it sits. http://www.misnblu.com/PorscheII__1_.jpg http://www.misnblu.com/PorscheII__6_.jpg http://www.misnblu.com/Porsche__6_.jpg http://www.misnblu.com/CleanPorsche.jpg http://www.misnblu.com/CleanPorsche__3_.jpg |

bnv944, can you explain the flex pipe you are using? It looks like it might be connected to or part of the air filter somehow, but hard to tell from that picture. Nice car though, not too many in that color down here in great shape.
