no spark ...problem

ok so my 944 sat 4 about 3 years and now i got no spark Im thinking dme relay is there anything else I shold be looking at ? ? ( side note I get a ground at the coil when the car is off but I don't get a pulse when I crank nore do I hear the fuel pump kicking on )

dme relay is first thing since u don't get fuel

Just to ask, did you drain the tank of old fuel first, change the dried out filter and crossed your fingers the injectors have not gummed up with dried fuel varnish?

it was put away the right way should be all good if i can get spark and fuel ....lol

OK, Good to hear.

Good information on "Engine Storage" about 3/4 down. Terry Shugert and Herr Klaus Fischer will tell you how to prepare the engine for startup.

This will not solve your problem, only give you a good engine when you solve the no-start.

You could also just make a DME relay "jumper" outlined in www.Clarks-Garage.com to test.
