Alarm bypass - different from Clark's?
I was spending some time making my new 83 944 NA more reliable and was looking at the alarm module. The PO told me that the alarm had been bypassed, so I eliminated it from my usual troubleshooting list.
When I looked at it this morning, I see that the PO had placed a single jumper from pin #5 (Blue wire) to pin #6 (Blue/White wire) and nothing else. Until recently, car started and ran fine for months. The Clark's Garage calls for jumpers from 1 to 4 and from 7 to 8. Anyone ever see something like what I have? Could this be contributing to a starting problem?

What alarm module do you have (part #)? My alarm module is a different part # from the clarks garage unit so I cannot bypass mine with his guide, perhaps yours is similar and the PO found a way to bypass it? Or it could be causing the problem, remove the jumper and see what happens.
