Turbo boost issues
Hi,
I have a 944 turbo that I just bought. Needs some work, but seems to be a fairly original car without any modifications. Bought it with a bad fuel pump. Car runs good (I can see that I have a couple vacumm lines that need to be replaced) The boost goes up to 1.2 or 1.3 on the gauge and stays there. I have read in Clark's that this usually means that there is another 'electrical' issue with the car. What should I do to trouble shoot this. Is there a good post for it so I do not have to beat a dead horse on this one. Thanks Ed

Not sure what you mean. Clarify please.
Does the key go on and the gauge go up to 1.3? Doesn't move no matter what you do? Or does it go to 1.3 and stay there while you're accelerating at full throttle, then drops back to X when you let off? |

Number 2. Max boost is 1.3 (or .3 whichever you want to think about it)
It rises and falls with the accelerator like you would expect. I have had a few 911 turbos over the last 10 yeas including a very potent 2.1L turbo motor. I am just not used to this cycling valve thing and a KLR controlling it. Thanks Ed
