wow, that looks like a LOT of deposits! I see you are using platinums?

i HAD PLATINUMS WHEN I FIRST DID MINE HEAD IN 2004, RECENTLY CHANGED TO ac REUULAR PLUGS, 65 I THINK. WILL POST PIX AND COMPARE deposits WHEN i PULL MY HEAD OFf for THE LEAKING head gasket, in a couiple weeks i guess.

originally, did you have head gasket symptoms, milkshake, or white somke, or compression from the coolant reserviour? mine is plumes of white smoke in exhaust.

Wow what deposits (Burning oil for a long time??) - Did not see any valve marks in/on pistons - how is the head and valves? The back side of the exhaust valves probably look the same as the pistons or worse?

Maybe a good cleaning to all parts associated and a standard rebuild???

That belt could have caused some pretty good damage

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for you and the car

No Milkshake, Just a few Small Oil leaks that were hard to spot, and a few spot were coolant leaked even tho i put all new hoses. #3 spark plug allways had alot of deposit, it seemed oil the rest were ok.

3 out of the 4 exhaust valves hit the pistons if you look in the photos the bottom parts of the vavle have a little shiney metal showing. And it apeared that the oposite side of were the valves got hit that there was a small gap, there is posibly like you said allot of deposites on the other side of the valves but i only just glanced at the old head but other than that it seemed in great shape.

Maybe it already had a head job because it had a Turbo head gaskit and the flat part where the head mates to the camshaft had a few numbers stamped on it. what you think?

anybody have a clue how much it would be to replace my three bent vavles with extra ones off a third head that I have as a backup for the backup.Idea of how much resurfacing the head would cost if i need it?

Last but not least any tips on how to get rid of the deposits on my pistons before i put on the head? Seafoam, Marvel mystrery oil ?
