eww.. cringing at the thought of chopping up a harness after what I went through to unchop mine, except, I wish I could have just started chopping out the damn wires on mine, then magically have it all still work.. If you have any questions.. It's still fresh in my head, I went through just about every wire on mine, going by the wiring diagrams, trying to put it all back to stock/factory..

cauzomb, i have been trying to find the culprit to my electrical problems. Every time i press the brake pedal or lower down the window, ALL my gauges stutter and dim. at night the headlights and gauge cluster dim in and out when i turn the steering wheel to the left. do i need new wiring or chop the wires like you say?

Your symptoms are mostly attributed to poor grounding. Clean all ground points and check the condition of your battery cables. If you see cracked insulation it is time to replace them as moisture seeps in and will corrode the cables where you cant see it causing all sorts of electrical problems.
