Question on Swaybar bushings

I am planning on replacing my sway bar bushings (One on the left side is shot due to oil/power steering leak and my bracket on that side is also broken). I use my car 95% on the street and I was browsing on Paragon and I saw that they sell Delrin bushings. What is the point of Delrin bushings and is there a huge difference between those and OEM ones?

Thanks,

Justin

oem ones are rubber and deform. delrin is hard plastic and does not deform.

if you're just going for street car, i'd just get new rubber ones. extra cost of delrin isn't going to get u anything

I've got delrin and they are great for auto-x, DE etc. Mine seem to squeak in cold weather, fyi...
For just street stock is plenty fine.

Hi ,go for the OEM bushes unless you want more noise and hardness in your ride, rubber is used because its compliant with swaybar as Porsche designed ,there is a company in the UK that makes a halfway type (somewhere rubber and plastic) ,haven't had any bad/good things about them though, cheers

Delrin bushings will last longer against the inevitable leaks from an old car. I'm running rear poly sway bushings successfully with no noise, and I'll be installing Racer's Edge solid front bushings soon.

My recent thread on rear bar install (with make-shift poly bushings): My rear suspension upgrades

The delrin bushings will reduce body roll and improve handling.

They will also make the car a little harsher over bumps that only one side of the car hits.

It's all personal preference. I'm in Florida with (relatively) smooth roads and have no problems with delrin bushings and solid upper strut mounts. If I lived where the roads are crappy I'd rethink those decisions.

You should always add some grease to your bushings so squeaking should not be an issue.
