Porsche Crest Lazy question

Ok.. now for the lazy stupid question.. I need to test my drivers side window motor for viability. And I am too lazy to just pop the panel and do it before I ask..The two connections on the top of the motor are just + and - , right? I will be able to see if the motor works if I apply a 12 volt charge to the motor connections, right ?

AND, is the removal of the motor more than just removing 2 bolts or is it more complicated that this?

And yes, I've gone through the grounds, etc.

All the ones I have worked on are directional...so + and - are relative to the direction you want to go.
