Any project done with that kind of effort and attention to detail gets my vote. It's not for me but I sure do respect what went into that car.

It's not that bad. It's got a good paint job on it, and someone put a lot of time into the interior. It's not my cup of tea, but i wish half the cars here were as well cared for as that one.

I have to agree... not my flavor.

(hell, I just spent money taking my car back to stock phone dials from 17" 993 wheels)

But I appreciate the "...man you scare her" quote at the end.

Were you crying with tears of joy. He definately put a lot of effort into the car which is more than a lot of people can say. I wouldn't have picked that paint but that thing looks real nice... plus I am pretty sure that is no 4 cylinder under the hood.

I'm with Slam and matthewb and Porch. If everyone worked as hard on their 944 cars as that person, things would be OK. The interior has Ernie's detailing touch, very fine work if you like that style.

That's nowhere near as bad as some of the abominations that have been uncovered before. That horrible oil on water paint color needs to go. The interior is not that bad and it obviously had a lot of effort go into it, I kind of like the digital gauges not that I would have them they're just different. Some twists a different color and offset the hood scoop so it's not dead center and I think it would actually be a pretty nice car. Didn't hear the engine, no sound right now.

This is actually my favorite 944 out there. Wide body, side pipes, LS swap, wide f'n wheels, scoop, vented header, nice interior, etc. It's pretty amazing. I saw it a year or so ago for sale on autotrader or something similar. There are very few streetable 944s that could even compare to this beast. The chamelon paint has grown on me over the years so I'm all for it. The only issue is the driver; he has terrible taste in music.

While I'm more of a purist at heart I can appreciate that. It's a bajillion times more cleanly done than a lot of the cheapo crap "conversions" that are out there. There are so many 944 abortions out there. This one is decent. Not exactly my tastes, but I can admire and appreciate the craft. The guy's taste in music is another matter entirely. Good God almighty, what the hell was that?

It goes to show that the 944 lines are timeless and can work with choices that are older, more modern, "hot-rodded" or fully track-prepped. Pretty hard to find cars that can pull that off.

It's almost definitely a V8 conversion. Personally I'm not a fan of them at all and I think the placement of the scoop on the hood is a dead giveaway (and very out-of-place). I'm guessing a carburetor-fed small block Chevy, which would benefit from that placement.

I also wonder why someone would spend that much time and effort on interior, bodywork, paint, etc. and then not show any pics of the engine bay. Maybe he's embarrassed by it? In reality it's probably a pretty powerful V8 and bags of fun to drive, even if I don't like all the choices personally. The aesthetic works overall for what it is, but I'd lose the hood scoop. The sound is all wrong for a 944 also, but whatever. His car, his choices.

loose the paint, digital guages, hood scoop, and kill whoever wrote that song and I'd like it. I really liked what he did with the front bumper/valance.

It's not really bad, compared to some others, but it does look like something a 12 year old with too much money would create. The music is also horrendous. Not a fan of V8 conversions in these cars, either.

Sometimes people sacrifice class for "originality" when it comes to custom work.

I absolutely love it.
Bah on the naysayers as this is one fine example of an individual doing what HE wants to his 944.
I love the paint, interior, and gauges. I even love the music so quit hating on the mans ride.
But seriously, I know most here are purists that want to keep a Porsche a Porsche but sometimes you've got to think outside of the box and make your car your own.
He's really done an outstanding quality job on that 944 and it shows. Why everybody is tripping with it I don't know but I guarantee you this much, that 944 will be just as loved by the owner as any purist on these boards.

Open your minds people and realize that our Porsche's are just another car that gets scrutinized by everyone because it's a Porsche.
I say make it your own if you can afford it.

I do remember seeing that car up for sale somewhere. It wasn't cheap either!

Shame on someone for making the racist comment on the video. That's just low.

It's that idiot that frequents the 944online board and was kicked off here awhile ago. Goes by some version of the saxman, or whatever; total loser.

I just threw up in my mouth. It's horrible, done very well. Panel gaps are good. The IFC widebody kit looks well fitted...the big old school rims are pretty cool...but the rest is beyond words.

Minnesota plates, I'm pretty sure it was for sale at Maplewood Imports in the past year or so, V8 conversion..think the price was in the teens.

Probably faster than my 951.
