A non-running car is worth about $500. Even though it starts, it's still not worth more then that.

I'm in austin -- run a 924S Chumps Car -- paid $450 for it and that was running!!
Needed the clutch put in (new clutch came with car)

rebuilding the top end will run at least $600 in parts and head/valve job work.
that doesn't count the labor pulling the heads out and back in.

I maybe interested in the car as is.

How clean is the rest of the car?
shoot me some pictures and we can talk

txhokie4life: I'll take pictures in a few days and send them to you. Getting too cold outside to work on the car.

I was trying to figure out how much rebuilding the head would cost. I called a top-notch machine shop in deep south Texas (Brownsville to be exact). I was told they would charge me between $200 to $300 for labor (they know my timing went out and valve(s) are bent). The valves are $17 per intake valve and $36 per exhaust valve.

txhokie4life: When you say rebuilding the top end will run at least $600 in parts and head/valve job work, how much of that is labor cost?
