Last week. On rt 125 in Bradford MA.
I was traveling north coming home from work in my 83 944 silver. Coming right at me is a woman in her 86, or so, silver 944 with phone dials. Flashed and waved to her. She gave me an enthusiastic wave back.

Was a nice ending to a crap day.

About a month ago I see a silver Boxster driving up Beaverdreek Road. I wave. He waves back. Nice.
Of cource I wave at everyboby. All P cars, Fiats, MG's ect... The best responces are from the Hot Rod guys. All those guys are car enthusiast's. Never been dissed by one.

Hmm,not a Porsche but hey,well here goes,It was about 9:45pm and I was sitting in my ole'44 at a red light,and a brand new red corvette pulled up next to me and a ladie was driving and her husband was in the passenger seat,I got a nice thumbs up,and I gave one back!

Makes you feel good that somebody driving a 40k corvette gives me a thumbs up in my 18 year old car.

Action: Typical of a Boxster owner....although we changed lead several times, she never stopped looking forward. Obviously not a real member of the Porsche family. Shoulda' cut her off and kicked up some dust.;)

Yesterday sitting on connector to 128N (in Ma). An early model 944 with two guys comes around the off ramp as I go to enter the on ramp. I beep, they beep and wave and I give thumbs up.

Hey another nice encounter! Only thing that would have made it better.... if there were two hot women in the car instead

Silver Boxter cab.,passed right next to me and didnt even notice,we where in the damn parking lot,I was sitting still,he was leaving and passed so close to me I could have opened my drivers door and hit his car as he passed. I got kinda mad that someone really didnt even know what other Porsche's look like. Talk about a status symbol!!! :mad:

I was driving the other day in my wifes audi and saw an awesome silver 356. I gave the thumbs up and got a big smile and wave back. It sucks cause everytime i drive my car i dont see anyohter porsches but in my wifes car they are everyewhere and i would feel stupid flashing in an audi.

Waved to a 993 Turbo or C4S (wasn't sure which), got a flash back

waved to a 993 who was busy talking to friends in the car and may not have noticed me, nothing back obviously.

Flash: Cruising downtown, mostly to laugh at all the ricers, when a '87 951 pulls up right next to me. I talk with the driver a little, seems to be a really nice guy. We cruised through downtown side-by-side for about 15 minutes, it was fun.

Driver: Kid I went to school with, driving his mom's 911.....which he will be getting next year - lucky bastard! This guy's 18 years old and his current car is a 1999 Mercedes C43 AMG. Although this guy's family is filthy rich, he's a pretty cool person.
Flash: We already knew each other, so it was a 'hi, what's up' type conversation because we were at a stoplight side-by side. He revved his engine and it sounded great. I revved mine back, just for kicks.

When I went to Arkinsania to visit, I have a couple of yummy good feels to report.

Texas, March something
Raining like hell I spot a silver 944T about half a mile in front, I-40 E.B. I think before Amarillo. I weave my way to his 6 and give im a flash. Flash returned and tear ass mode engaged. We zipped through the other dullards at speeds that would have scared the crap out of me in anything other than my baby, with my woman white knuckling the door handle and the seat belt. We leap frogged a couple times and then he had to go somewhere else and exited.

W.B. I-40, comming home, I jump off the '40 to get some go juice. I'm standing there pumping and a car pulls up, woman driving, hubby in passenger seat (hmmph!) and 12 yr old kid in back. She goes,"Excuse me, is that a 944?" I sez "eyuh" She goes:"'84?" "Good eye!", I respond, and the kid does a little celebration and a "Yeah!" She goes "My son actually picked you out from the Freeway, and he made me come down and ask."
Kid goes "can I have it when your done with it?" I go "I would, but since she's gonna kill me, I'm gonna be burried in her" and give im a little smile. Made both of our day.

Slightly OT; I stop to quaff a cold one upon at a local joint and there are two boxsters owners, and their cars that 'll stop. We haven't spoken yet, but there's been plenty of smirking going on. Comments from other patrons along the lines of, " What is this, a freakin' Porsche fest??"...More smirkin from the silent P-crowd.:cool:

About a week ago i was diriving through town and saw a silver 996 and gave a wave. But this 996 was no ordinary 996 it looked different. I didnt get a wave back but just the fact that I saw a GT2 made my day that car was unbelievable.

I was waiting at a light, and I saw a red 911 on the opposite side of traffic, also at a light. When it turned green and when I was passing him, I looked and smile but he just turned his head and looked the other way. Maybe it was because I was driving my Honda.:( Or maybe he felt too cool to say hi.
