Rear window border and windowseal.. some questions..

is there any way to fix the border of rear window?

the black plastic covering is pealing off, and the "tape" inside the car is is loosing its glue

and actually where should the window seal hit on rear window?
My oppinion is that it should hit the metal that is around the window.. but it is not even close..

like that, that the rear window is too big for sitting there

it is not the problem.. nothing is leaking in but when lookin closely it is actually quite a "ugly"

go to a tint shop and they can put some semi-flat tape on the outside that will look nice and hold up to the elements

The rear hatch is no joke considered to be one ofthe hardest windowsto tint in the entire auto tint industry. I bet atleast one place you inquire to about tinting it will laugh or ask if your joking. Finding a place that can also do it in less than 3 pieces will be a challenge also!

I was a professional window tinter for ten years, I was doing it when we started shrinking the tint to match the curve of the glass. My cousin still does it and in my opinion is one of the best. He tinted my 951 a couple of years ago and still gives me hell about it! The third brake light helps take up some of the tension but I'm thinking he did mine in 3 pieces as well. It's cut on the defrost lines though so it looks fine.

I'd go with 35%. Anything darker is illegal here anyway. I agree on the blacked out windows, looks a bit gangster...

If the border is like mine it's on the inside of the glass. I'd peel it if it's loose so the pieces don't get under your tint then put the tape back on the outside.
