Best timing replacement instruction?

Hi! I'm getting ready to replace timing and water pump on 86 944 na, what is the best website that someone could recommend for instruction on doing that, Can someone also let me know the info on the updated water pump with belt guard, final question, I don't want to spend 650.00 on a Porsche brand belt tensioner tool can someone refer me to a affordable one that does the same thing thanks, I have the haynes manual and I know it doesn't have all the updated info

Take a look at "Clark's garage.com" the details are in there, I do my tension timing belts by feel, but been doing them forever. Also look into youtube some good videos on there for this.

Also see: Timing Belt Change Porsche 944 - Video #1.wmv

Check in on u-tube - the water pump and belt change is in series #1 thru #8.

Enter: "Timing Belt Change Porsche 944 - Video #1.wmv", in the top search bar, then follow thru with the next series, #2.wmv, #3.wmv, etc.

A good follow up to the other sites -

Oh,

If you reply, I am sure someone will tell you about the updated water pump, block off plate, 46 mm idler roller. Or you could just look on Pelican Parts:

Some people try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.
