Cool Control Arm Part Numbers

Hey guys

I was wondering if you could help me out.

I bought a rebuilt front control arm part # 951.341.150.01 (right side)
They said that this arm would fit 85.5 and on 944.

I was looking at mine last night and the numbers stamped on them are 951.341.149.10 and 951.341.150.10.

Before I start removing my control arm, will the one that I bought fit?

After looking at them both the one I bought seems to be a bit shorter then what I have on the car.

BTW I have an 87 944 n/a

Thanks in advanced for your help..

Rob

Rob ; by the second set of numbers ending in 10 , the arms you have are indeed 87 or later. The one that you have in dispute is an 85.5-86 arm. Comparing the two arms will show yours( 87 ) to be about 1 1/2 inches longer and ribbed on the bottom side and the ball joint is slightly shorter also. The 86 arm is not ribbed on the bottom and is shorter and the ball joint is slightly taller .I would not use it on the 87 car., as there might be a question on the strut clearance. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. HTH

Thanks for the info.
I kinda figured that this was the case.
Oh well live and learn. (don't always believe what you are told)

Anyone interested in a right side control arm for 85.5 - 86 944?
Ball joint is tight and all rubber (cup & bushing) don't show any wear and tear. The 944 it came off of only had 52k on the clock.

Let me know.

thanks again for your help.
