How to fix recessed front bumper... picture inside..

Hello everyone...Yuta here...

Today... my question is ...how to fix a recessed front bumper on an 85 944 NA....

It happened half a year ago when I drove back from my internship job...... It was raining and the road was slippery...An old HONDA van suddenly stopped and I couldn't react and knocked into its rear bumper.....The honda driver got out of the van and look nervous,,,(I think he was illegal)...he said his car is ok and theres no need for calling insurance company and my car was ok too (actually not..)... Well... I kinda think it was my fault cuz I was driving a little bit too fast .... But.... Well i just let him go.. he might have family to support.. that is the story....

ANyways.... How to fix it??? Looks like there is shock absorbor inside,, and I may just have to replace one... but how to access it?? Take off the rubber???

If you look under the bumpr there is two holes if you look in the holes thef ia a i beleve a
19 mm bolt on each side of the bumper remove the bolts and the bumper will pulll off frontwords.
The bumper shocks are held on with 2 13mm bolts. Hope this helps!!!!

I'd find a tree and just go ahead and knock the other side in and call it a day! no tools required!

Well, for one. Clean your car dude!!!!!!!

Underneath the bumper there is one bolt on each side, all you have to do is take them off. Have someone there to help you hold it, and then disconnect the turn signal lights. Then it just comes out. I am pretty sure you just need to replace the shock absorber then and put it back together.

If you need a new used shock, I have about 6 of these.
