Don't forget about the cheaper version, the 924 Turbo! There's one on San Diego CL, an '82, last year of US production. $2850 but needs work, as they all do! Easier and mostly cheaper to work on than a 951. The CIS system produces quite a few headaches, but when running well, they are fun to drive.

I went for a ride in a friends, and I couldn't stop thinking about it until I got one. Once you have one, you will never go back. Boost is very addictive.

I would probably wait until I could afford a 930 or a 996 twin turbo to have as a "fun car" and keep my 944 NA as a DD. I have toyed with getting a turbo so much but the higher costs and even harder maintenance kill it for me. I struggle enough with just an NA but it's a winning battle so far.
