rear hatch doesn't open with the key
I have a 1989 944 S2 that the rear hatch only opens from the button in the car but not when you are outside and use the key. The key turns freely but does not unlock the hatch.
Any ideas of what to look for? thanks, |

check the microswitch at the lock for proper adjustment or if it needs replacement.

If you pull back the carpet and look at the mechanism while you're operating it with the key, you'll quickly see what's not happening.

I think I saw the interior switch here maybe they have the micro switch as well? If not, it is avail on line. In the same vein, my micro switch works fine but I do not have 12 V into the switch from the body harness. Any ideas on where to check for a bad feed?
