speed sensor stuck
hey all, so i was in the process of replacing my speed/reference sensor and all was going smooth until i reached the speed sensor removal. basically i got the speed sensor out just far enough that i can see the o-ring. it will not budge any further. it rotates freely in the bracket but will not come out or go back in. I'm baffled.

Two schools of thought:
PB Blaster, gentle persuasion, twist and push, twist and pull, apply a little heat, lather, rinse repeat. My method: BFH, giant screwdriver, pry bar, brute force, ignorance. Break that bracket and you're done in 5 min. First method worked on my 84. Second method on wifey's 87. At the first signs of frustration go directly to method two. Trust me... |
