Very weird idle problem with 1997 Boxster
I don't know if it is related but, I took a corner very hard this morning and ever since, my boxster hasn't idled properly. At idle it automatically rev's between 1000 and 2000 RPM all on it's own.
A little lower with A/C off. Very embarrassing at traffic light everyone thinks you want to race them. I replace the MAF only 2 months ago as I was having intermittent problems starting now this. To explain I took a video of the Taco and also ran my dash commander on it which found not major problems. Here is a skydrive link to the video of what it is doing http://sdrv.ms/18RTe25 Any help would be greatly appreciated. Bruce |

Hi Bruce, you might get a better response if you posted this thread in the Boxster forum, this is the 924/944/968 forum..

Ok, first thing you're going to want to do is unplug the MAF with the car running. Yes, it will run without the MAF. If it clears up you'll pretty much have your answer. If it doesn't you'll want to head on over to the Boxster tech section...

First you'll want to pop the hood. Look very carefully at the car. Then you'll want to go to craigslist, and post it for sale. Once sold, you're free to buy a 944.
